Tea Towel Calendars

I wanted to share this deal that I received an email about from Spoonflower. They are offering 2 for 1 fat quarters which just happens to be the size that many of the tea towel designs fit on. I was so excited that I tried to order some today before realizing that the deal starts on Monday-bummer! Also be sure that you order 2011 calendars-some of the ones I liked were 2010. Here are a couple that I thought were interesting....(sorry I was being too lazy to rotate them)

Anyways take a look-they would make a great gift. Here's your link to Spoonflower HERE
and a little blurb from the email....

Tea towels are easy to sew, fit on a fat quarter of fabric, and make wonderful handmade gifts. So to help you out with your holiday shopping, Spoonflower is holding a two-for-one tea towel special for five days next week. Here are the details:

What: Buy two fat quarters of fabric on Spoonflower for the price of one. [Most tea towel designs fit on a fat quarter.] A fat-quarter of linen-cotton canvas (which works well for tea-towels) is normally $14, so it will cost $7 during the period of the promotion.

When: Monday, November 29 at 8am EST through Friday, December 3 at 6pm EST

How: Add two fat quarters (or any other number) and you will get half-off the regular price. The discount will be calculated automatically and the promotional price will appear in your shopping cart.

Sharing this Thanksgiving

There are so many things that I am thankful for this Thanksgiving, both in terms of being a new business owner and all of the great people I have already met through my store but also in terms of our personal lives.

Instead of going through all of the items that I am thankful for, I thought I'd take another approach and share some projects, blogs etc with you....

I had a customer come in today and tell me about an Amy Butler pattern she found for a reversible tissue box cover, well that got me thinking about all of the great free patterns Amy Butler has on her website(I like the August Fields Duvet and the necklace pattern) so check them out HERE when you get a chance(the link is on the bottom right for the patterns)
The Robert Kaufman website is a great place to look for inspiration for color combinations and free quilt patterns. Check it out HERE

I could probably keep adding links for days, but I'll stop with the next one, if you haven't check out Dana at Made's blog, you've been missing out. She has some of the best tutorials and ideas. They're not always craft related, but it's a great blog to add to your blog roll. Check it out HERE
Hope you get a chance to enjoy these links and have a great Thanksgiving holiday!

What's Your Color Personality?

I usually stay away from surveys and questionnaires, but this one seemed fun on a Saturday morning. All you have to do is click HERE to take the REAL SIMPLE Quiz: Find Your Color Personality.

I took it and these were my results.... You Are an Earth Personality

Earth types—solid, grounded thinkers—like to surround themselves with deep blues, black, grays, and browns. Earth personalities are honest and loyal; it’s no coincidence that we describe steadfast companions as “true blue.” But Leatrice Eiseman, the executive director of the Pantone Color Institute and author of the Eisemancolorblog.com adds, “If you choose blues and grays, you’re likely a little more reticent and self-conscious,” and you can seem reserved, even standoffish.

Hmmmm.....
